Indo National honours its visionary founder with a commemorative postal stamp on his 100th birth anniversary

Chennai, Dec 5th, 2025: Indo National Limited (Nippo) celebrated a landmark moment with the release of a special commemorative postal stamp marking the 100th birth anniversary of its founder, Shri P. Obul Reddy. The event, held as part of the Centenary of Light Celebrations, brought together family members, all Nippo employees, dignitaries, and industry well-wishers to honour the life and legacy of a pioneering industrialist whose influence shaped India’s electrical and electronics landscape.

The grand celebration featured a lamp-lighting ceremony, a tribute moment titled “100 Seconds of Music,” a special film screening “A Century of Light,” and heartfelt sharing of memories from the Reddy family. The entire family — including his sons, daughters, and grandchildren — paid moving tributes to Shri Obul Reddy’s entrepreneurial spirit and his deep belief in placing people before products.

The commemorative stamp was officially unveiled by Major Manoj M., IPoS, Director of Postal Services, Chennai on 30th Nov 2025 who acknowledged the lasting social and industrial impact of the Reddy family and applauded Indo National for its continuing contributions to the nation’s development.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Aditya Reddy, Joint Managing Director, Indo National Limited, said:

“Today is not just a celebration of our founder’s 100th birth anniversary — it is a reminder of the values that built Indo National.
